An experimental-improvisation duo consisting of Sam Irvin and Zack Downes playing guitar, drums and synthesizers. The music is created on the spot and everything that is performed is absolutely unique. Sam and Zack met working at Moog Music Inc. in downtown Asheville and the pieces are usually grounded in sequences, set up in real time, on Moog synthesizers. Aiming to create melodic, eclectic and energetic tunes, Dinobirds keeps a balance of the complex and the simple in order to maintain the interest of the audience and add to the character of any environment or event.
